What do you like best about the product?

How easy it is to search for information. AlphaSense really lets you use targeted words and searches to best find the information you need. My favourite feature of the platform is perhaps how it will only show you sources that have your two words 10-15 words apart. This lets you get rid of all the noise that you get on traditional platforms like Google, and helps you focus on a single source better. Another great feature is the ability to export charts/graphics directly into excel. This had made my life so much easier when copying over numbers, and it removes a certain margin of error which is exactly what I'm looking for in a platform. The team is great as well, and has always been super helpful when I have questions.

What do you dislike about the product?

A lot of different sources can sometimes make it hard to find the best information, but this is honestly more of a pro than a con regardless. Some features of the platform can be a bit confusing, but the AlphaSense team is always ready on hand to give you a demo if you so need. Sometimes there can be a bit of noise on AlphaSense as well, so it's important to select the right filters to get what you're looking for!

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Easier to research and find niche information, especially on a certain industry. This has been so helpful especially when copying over information due to their export feature.

What do you like best about the product?

My top three: 1. Best Text Search: AlphaSense's search deep into documents even embedded tables is super powerful. 2. Broadest Company Universe: Reach to many OUS countries - including Japan - have really impressed me vs. previous platforms I used. 3. Delivery on promises - when I joined AlphaSense 8 months ago they said they would expand entitlements with more investment banks' sell side research teams and they have - bringing over some of the strongest teams like BAML

What do you dislike about the product?

I would say it is expensive but the price is lower than competitive offerings. My only gripe right now is that fine tuning the email alerts was not very straightforward. But this is largely on me since I set them up once and haven't endeavored to fix them to reduce inbox hits.

I am reading management commentary to investors in great detail to inform my employers' strategic path forward.

What do you like best about the product?

Quick, smart way to get to the relevant reports as well the most relevant sections within each. All top analysts are included within my subscription which really helps me get to the right insights in near real time.

What do you dislike about the product?

Sometimes hard to find reports based on keyword search - usually too many results that requires painstaking effort. Occasionally, I get a whole bunch of random results that are practically meaningless to my search. Also, it isn't super intuitive to narrow down search results - feels a bit clumsy.

Some friction from having all the individual access from broker research and some corporate documents missing from time to time

I wish there was a live transcript option for earnings calls, though they are normally up pretty quick.

Definitely worth the investment to improve timeliness and improve depth of search.

Smart search looks for topics or similar words for what I'm looking for, rather than having to match specifically, saving a lot of time and cuts down on things I might have missed

AlphaSense has some of the most comprehensive information available. Their search engine is second to none.

You can only download 20 documents at a time.

Give it a try. It is highly underrated but will be a pleasant surprise once you use it on a regular basis.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Searching for SEC filings for specific dates; searching for specific quotes in a wide range of documents. AlphaSense has cut down on search times for both SEC filings and general documents.

What do you like best about the product?

Search across many types of documents and feeds. Search queries can be adjusted to target specific results, including and/or statements. Uploading outside documents to include in search results is also very helpful. My favorite tool is highlighting and commenting within documents, and then easily going back to review those highlights and edits.

What do you dislike about the product?

iPad app is a little weak, and does not allow for highlighting or commenting within documents.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

The ability to quickly search across multiple document sources and timeframes adds hours of productivity.

What do you like best about the product?

Incredible depth of research over a vast amount of companies, with impressive coverage that's customizable to the user. The user can set up alerts, enabling tracking targets and competitors, delivered to my email instantly. The platform can be accessed online, regardless of device, and the mobile app is quite useful.

What do you dislike about the product?

There's really no downside to AlphaSense. I believe that as the platform continues to grow, so will the data sources and archive.

I recommend AlphaSense for professionals who require up-to-date information on public companies and industry research quickly and efficiently. Content that's easy to search and gauge in terms of relevance. Current pricing is at an extraordinary bargain, compared with hiring researchers to compile the same information.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Being able to track a significant list of company competitors on a daily basis. Screening for specific companies based on my unique parameters has benefitted my peer intelligence and business development initiatives. Tracking news flow, analyst opinion, and regulatory filings with ease.

What do you like best about the product?

the smart search engine is really useful so I don't have to type in every synonym, and the fact that it can search presentations as well

sometimes the document freezes on me in Chrome and I need to refresh page

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

two main benefits - 1) helps me sift through years' of transcripts with one easy search, and 2) able to export data from SEC filings into excel this saves me a lot of time reading through and hitting ctrl+F on numerous documents

The most helpful part is the search function and the content it seaches across.

I wish the platform was able to do more. Live transcript feed would be very helpful

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'm solving qualitative research pitfalls. I understand that if I conduct a search in AlphaSense, I'm confident I'm generating high quality results.

What do you like best about the product?

-Key word search is remarkable - not only is it accurate, but it is smart enough to pick up words or phrases that are peripheral to the word you searched. For example, searching "SSS" will generate results for "same-store sales", "comparable sales", "comp store sales", etc... -View all/similar tables function - Single most time saving feature I have across any research tool. Within documents, you are able to click on a table (i.e. income statement), and receive multiple avenues for further navigation. Clicking "View Similar Tables" will take give you the option to view that same table on different documents (i.e. on last years 10K) without leaving your original place. Additionally, you can click "View All Tables" which will allow you to efficiently navigate from table to table within the source document without having to scroll. -Great and reliable email alerts functionality -Documents are distributed very quickly - with transcripts coming out often w/in 30 minutes of the earnings call

What do you dislike about the product?

- When I refresh a the page while on a company tab or in a document, I am taken back to the home page. - Needs to be easier to set and edit alerts - Wish you had the view all/similar tables for foreign companies - Personally think the sentiment indicator is pretty worthless - would rather see a stock chart...

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Efficiency of research and continued monitoring of companies - for the reasons listed above, AlphaSense has greatly benefited me in both areas.

What do you like best about the product?

The search functionality is very dynamic, helping you to find exactly what you are looking for quickly. I also love the website itself with the different panes to simultaneously show search results at the document level, then each of the results within the document, and then a large window showing the result with all of the context around it.

What do you dislike about the product?

My only gripe is that I want more content brought into the tool. Sometimes company presentations or other public event transcripts aren't always included in results. I would also love to see clinicaltrials.gov information easily searchable within this tool (I work in the pharma/biotechnology industry).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's really a time-saver. I use AlphaSense to research specific things being said by our competitors, and even sometimes to verify things that our own company has said publicly in the past. Before AlphaSense, I would do the same things by going to individual competitor websites and trying to find what I was looking for that way. This tool saves me a ton of time.
