After segmenting our donors in Raiser’s Edge NXT, we ran our first personalized summer fundraising appeal in Mailchimp, which raised about $30,000 online in just the first week.

With Raiser’s Edge NXT, being able to actually use the data to understand how different groups of donors are engaging makes a huge difference in how we communicate with them.
Financial Edge NXT’s general ledger streamlines account management and reconciliation. The budgeting tools make it easier to track and adjust budgets in real time, and built-in reports provide clear financial visibility, improving accuracy and supporting better decision-making.
Our advancement and business offices sit in the same suite here at Poly. The fact that they’re on the same platform is hugely advantageous—from gift processing in Raiser's Edge NXT to fund reconciliation in Financial Edge NXT. We were seeing advancement and business collaborating empowered by the product.
From the beginning, this has changed how I think about my work rather than just focusing on what I do. Seeing donors assigned, outreach drafted and sent, and activity tracked within the Development Agent’s work center gives us greater visibility into both the work the agent is doing and how quickly it is being done.

We're using AvidXchange, one of Blackbaud's partner solutions, for accounts payable and it's working great. We're using it to onboard invoices, and it's saved us a lot of time.
"I’ve been using Blackbaud Automated Deposits for a few months now to post all of my gifts monthly, and the process between Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT® and Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT® is very user-friendly. Navigating from the unposted gifts query to the final subledger post in Financial Edge NXT is smooth and easy. You do have to wait a day for funds to move from the clearing account to the bank account before posting the journal entry. Overall, minor detail for a system that makes gift posting a breeze."
Prospect Insights Pro screens the entire database and elevates people who can give to you in the next year, making it possible to target portfolios far more efficiently.
Blackbaud Grantmaking gives us a complete picture, so we can connect past performance to future funding decisions all in one place.
We really can't do without the AI chat and the action strategy capabilities within Raiser's Edge NXT.
I'm not only a fan of the Advisory+ consultant component, I've become quite an advocate. It's worth its weight in gold—spring for the extra dollars to get that service. I'm thrilled with that relationship and it's been a huge asset, especially as a small program in a very large organization; having that extra set of hands who works very quickly, is invaluable to us.
What do you like best about the product?
its more efficient, easier to learn! I love all the features
What do you dislike about the product?
I do miss the mailing feature—we still print letters and use the mailing feature in the database view every day.

What do you like best about the product?
Using Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT has been very helpful because it lets me keep track of everything in one place—donors, gifts, contacts, and any notes related to stewarding each constituent.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is that it still feels like a work in progress. At this point, you can’t do everything in NXT that you can do in the database view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackbaud is working to streamline everything so it’s more user-friendly, with the goal that you won’t need to use Database View anymore.
I think a hallmark difference between similar platforms is that Raiser’s Edge NXT feels more turnkey in its setup and functionality, while other platforms require more intentional scoping and build out to fully operationalize around an organization’s needs.
We have really enjoyed using Blackbaud Donation Forms . We've been using them for our athletics department when they have their calling events with family and friends to raise money. They can raise $20,000 in a couple of hours, which is great.
I was involved in several Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack implementations, which provide some baseline functionality, but it's really like getting tinker toys. We often had to help clients make it actually work for them. Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is much more ready to use out of the box.
The platform’s user-friendly interface was critical in our ability to scale, ensuring that no student or donor was overlooked as demand increased. It’s no exaggeration to say that Blackbaud Award Management has helped us change lives faster and more equitably.
Having everything under one umbrella has been a game changer. What used to take days of manual work now flows automatically between systems, saving time and cutting down on errors.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sortable data for users with different end goals
I've used Banner and Salesforce at a previous organization, and Raiser's Edge NXT is by far the best product I've used because it's built for fundraising. With Salesforce, our implementation was botched—since we were set up in higher ed, rather than non-profit, we couldn't track lifetime giving. Soft credits were in a different object from gifts, so there was no way to do that natively. With Blackbaud, it's so nice to just go to somebody's record and see their accurate lifetime giving.
What do you like best about the product?
It have always been a flexible and secure system that accomplishes all of our tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would be nice to more easily make a correction.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have not seen anything new
What do you like best about the product?
The seamless integration from Admissions to Enrollment to then Tuition Management. Everything is online from the Application and any forms to upload such as recommendation forms. There is a committee review so if anyone is remote on the committee they can see all of a candidates information. Then when it comes time to enroll all of the tuition and fees are automatically entered in the Tuition Management account. Time saving.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not sure there is anything I particularly dislike except that we could be using more of the system. It is all about training.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So we moved to continuous enrollment and when we did we really had more issues on the Tuition Management side but we also did not have a way to track "contracts in EM. We now use the integrated contracts as a annual deposit form so it opens up their tuition account with all the financials.
What do you like best about the product?
It brings all the pertinent data together in one place, which streamlines our workflows and lets all key personnel complete their work within the same system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like many data systems, it takes some training and thoughtful use to be truly effective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows our students’ academic records, attendance, conduct, and student life notes to live together in one place, while also letting us carefully and thoughtfully manage who has access to that information.
