CISCO was our go-to for a long time, but it was really bad.

IT Link is on its way to Zero Trust, and Virtru has become an important part of our system. Virtru is easy to use, there is no need for support, and the autonomy is fast. The administration of the products is simple and efficient, especially for a small IT department like ours.
In order for us to be able to send [customers] wire instructions, or even their documents that they want to sign, or copies of their signed documents — being able to send it securely through a regular email platform like Gmail is easy.
Google's endorsement of Virtru gave us confidence in our choice. We knew we needed a solution that could handle the stringent requirements of HIPAA, and Virtru fit the bill perfectly.
The ease of use as well as Virtru already being integrated within the VA ecosystem—that was really the big selling point. We wanted a platform that the VA has already been privy to prior to us.
Virtru has been a huge time saver, efficiency creator, and compliance booster for Pitkin County.
[Virtru] is a much more holistic centralized approach that carries actual certifications, I think is another big piece that… helps our GRC team sleep a little bit better at night.
From the business standpoint, mail is delivered with sender reputation intact. Financially, the move saved money. The existing solution was about twice as expensive as Virtru. Technically, major leap forward for mail deliverability and overall resiliency since the entire setup is well understood and under proactive management. In other words, 50% savings in costs, substantial (and in some cases infinite) improvements in support and troubleshooting capability, and 100% delivery rate up.
Virtru has been the easiest to use with the least amount of trouble tickets.
The best of breed we found, from a technical point of view and a financial point of view, was Virtru. The product has been rapidly and efficiently set up, and it has been very easy to explain to users. It’s very easy, too, because it’s integrated inside our Google Workspace environment — particularly Gmail, which is our corporate collaboration tool. By moving people to Google and pushing them to the native containers and to the native tooling from Google, we have also ensured a higher level of security from a file perspective, which is important.
Yeah. Almost every university has put out statements with some guidance. We really see AI fundamentally as an enabler. We just need to do it in an informed and thoughtful way. So we have a journey by working group. There we recently appointed a, someone to lead our generative AI efforts, and, Notre Dame has already held multiple forums, and and so other folks at the institution are leading across higher ed and in the research space for, ensuring we have, good models to, make sure AI is used ethically and, you know, as a force for good in the world is the Notre Dame mission. And, also, you know, is used effectively. And so we've got a new group coming up that will help, identify those areas where there's the biggest kind of bang for the buck in terms of AI, and, how do we execute on those really well and start to see some great payback for the investment.
Virtru’s solutions complement Colorado’s existing software and business workflows — so they’re equipped with everything they need, and nothing they don’t.
The installation process was a breeze because Virtru integrates seamlessly into Outlook, Google Apps, and Gmail, which is what all our government departments use. Even better, Virtru also enables secure replies for our recipients. Clients can respond to us with a safe, encrypted email, without even having to download the software themselves.
We have had nothing but a responsive and enjoyable experience working with the Virtru people.
We're extremely happy with Virtru Private Keystore and Google CSE. It saved us from migrating to a more expensive, less enjoyable Microsoft GCC high setup.
When you're involved in public-private partnerships, trust is everything. Being able to send communications securely, and being able to provide a link for your customer or your partner to send you docs securely, really helps maintain operational trust with your partners.
When you're handling mental health data, there's no room for 'good enough.' Virtru gives us the confidence to say we're doing everything possible to protect our patients' privacy.
When we evaluated Virtru, we took into account what we need now, and what we'll need in the future. We felt confident that Virtru would be able to scale with us. I haven't found one use case that it wouldn't solve for in our industry.
I had someone working with me every step of the way. A Virtru rep would hop on video calls with me and do screen sharing and just troubleshoot on her own when I let her know that there was an issue. That was just an incredible experience getting set up with no technical background.
We had a request yesterday: ‘We need to share some analytics data, and it's a pretty big file — what's the proper method of getting this to the customer?’ And, with Virtru, I can see when they share it and make sure that they are putting an expiration date on the files to be shared.
Virtru Secure Share also became a candidate to replace our file sharing service, which was becoming a security issue in itself. Secure Share has been a game changer for us. We used Google Drive before, but being able to transfer large files and work seamlessly with external customers was a real benefit. One of our use cases is financial transactions with students and their parents. There are also some legal use cases across campus. Virtru has provided a great toolkit to secure the communication of that data.
