What do you like best about the product?

The ability to collaborate effectively and efficiently, as well as the ease and intuitiveness of the platform, particularly as it relates to document review. The hot/cold/warm feature is great. I also enjoy the data visualizer tool, the search term reports tool, and the storybuilder tool in particular. Finally, having your assignments right there on the home page is very helpful when you need to refer back and forth between different tools.

What do you dislike about the product?

The sheer size/complexity can be overwhelming for a new user. More training options could be helpful, as could some sort of stripped down/standard version where users would only see the handful of functions that they needed access to at the time. Also, the way that the screen doesn't show all of your options and you have to scroll down endlessly can be quite frustrating.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I was assigned several document review projects through Everlaw and I found it to be the fastest I have ever worked due to the ease of highlighting, storybuilding, etc. The platform works in the way that you think it should, such that a new user like myself can figure it out over time. I was able to move through my assignments much faster than I have before, while not sacrificing any substantive quality. In addition, I have been using Everlaw in conjunction with other AG's offices in other states, and our ability to collaborate and communicate effectively is strong because of the teamwork-oriented nature of the Everlaw platform.

What do you like best about the product?

The binders and search features make Everlaw easy to use. I can quickly find documents once I have a general idea of what I am researching. Also, I can locate records that were not important initially.

What do you dislike about the product?

The predictive coding function is a wonderful tool, but it is challenging to understand and use. Also, the number of documents required to start a model defeats the coding purpose for narrow searches. Some necessary investigations do not have the 100 documents essential for coding.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Everlaw allows me to crunch large data sets into narrow topics and searches quickly and efficiently. Based on my experience, the tool improves a lawyer's capabilities.

What do you like best about the product?

I like how simple it is to upload, review and mark documents for production. The searches in Everlaw are also easy yet comprehensive and make finding certain documents a breeze. The Deposition feature is also really cool with the ability to upload the actual transcript after and make notes on it.

What do you dislike about the product?

I don't dislike anything about Everlaw .

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

When you have a case that is document intensive, there is no better way to review, mark and produce the documents than Everlaw. I can also take the docs i produced and add them to a depo binder so I am killing two birds with one stone.

What do you like best about the product?

Date range is a very good function. Easy to navigate through various tranches of documents, especially with highly complex documents. Email function is also good - very easy to distinguish between people who have sent emails. Downloading documents is also extremely easy. I like how it just downloads a copy with the Bates numbering.

What do you dislike about the product?

Not a huge fan of the preview. I think it could be more user friendly - perhaps better automated.

Utilise the binder feature, grouping documents together makes it very easy.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Discovery mainly. Dealing with tranches of documents from various parties, combining them and creating folders for certain categories. Using categories and creating binders is especially useful, grouping documents together.

Thoughtful visual design that's intuitive to use with great training materials.

Nothing so far but still new to using Everlaw

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Great for working with a team and being able to keep track of what everyone is doing through the assignments function. Very helpful so far to reviewing documents produced to us in litigation.

What do you like best about the product?

The ability to upload masses of files and search for multiple keywords across them. It has allowed me to mine documents that would have been impossible to parse using more traditional methods on my own.

What do you dislike about the product?

The user interface could be more intuitive -- it took me a while to learn my way around, and I still get confused sometimes about where to find various things. My biggest wish was that Storybuilder functioned in more seamless way with the rest of the database. My dream is to be able to clip paragraph-length quotes of doc review and have them available for review, tagging, organization, etc in story builder. Right now I use two different applications, Scrivener and Keyboard Maestro, to achieve an approximation of that functionality with scripts that are essentially souped-up cutting and pasting.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a journalist, I need to read review huge amounts of text on my own, and find details that are relevant to my stories. This helps me work at a speed and scale that wouldn't have been possible for a lone wolf like me in the past. I also really like the flexibility ... I might be searching for anything — references to events, historical facts and figures, you name it - it's unpredictable and sometimes I don't know what I'm searching for until I get into the docs. I love the ability to refine as I go by searching within a document for keywords other than what was searched for originally. For example, I recently analyzed chat logs that were over a million pages long, where I wasn't sure what kind of slang terms the users used to describe various nefarious activities (early searches for traditional terms didn't turn up much). But because I was able to find a few places where the traditional terms were close to the slang terms, I could figure out by inference, then broaden out my search, if that makes sense. Anyway, the ability to just poke around big data sets and then make more structured searches is so great.

This is one the most user friendly review platforms.

Coding analytics (sometimes its confusing)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Reviewing huge number of documents for critical litigation matters and other internal purposes. It is very easy and quick to manage big chunks of data.

What do you like best about the product?

Everlaw shines over its competitors in every way. The platform gives you all of the freedom and flexibility to create your own codes, run your own productions and manage your organization without having to call in support requests which end up costing more $$. But, when/if you do need help, Everlaw support is OUTSTANDING - and it's included in your fees!. That team bends over backwards for you even at 445pm on a Friday. They are nice, knowledgeable, competent and there's never any wait time.

What do you dislike about the product?

Honestly there are no downsides. A couple of months ago, I reported to them that really the only drawback I saw was that there was no preview of a doc in the review table - so you actually had to click into each doc to see its contents. However, they just released a new set of features that includes a preview window! They are super attentive to customer requests, obviously, and are striving to make their platform the best for every use case.

We've easily been able to handle ESI, create and share productions across multiple cases.

What do you like best about the product?

I love the speed with which the documents render. And I love how quickly the searches return results. And I also love how easy it is to run a production. Best of all is the customer service when needed.

What do you dislike about the product?

It has added features such as a word processor that lets you link to documents in the database. This is an awesome feature but it does not port over well to Word. The formatting is a mess so you he to do a lot of duplicate work if creating a word Doc.

I worked in Big Law for 25 years before going out on my own. Lacking a litigation support department I was worried about how to handle productions and reviews of productions. Everlaw is a lot easier than Relativity.

What do you like best about the product?

Everlaw makes it easy to collaborate across multiple organizations that are working together toward a common goal. With dozens of lawyers at different firms working to review massive sets of documents, organization is key, and Everlaw is a great tool for that purpose.

What do you dislike about the product?

It is not as intuitive as I would prefer. I had to read tutorials to understand the search tool. However, once I understood the way it worked, it was relatively easy to pinpoint the documents I was searching for. It has a variety of fields within which to search, which is helpful.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Everlaw is helping us to maintain an orderly process and effectively collaborate across a team of dozens of individuals from different organizations reviewing millions of documents. It helps keep everyone on the right track because assignments are clearly organized and divvied up. I particularly like that I can see which other reviewers have already seen a document.

What do you like best about the product?

I like that I can run powerful queries over my data using only their help documentation to guide me. When I do need help, I've never had to wait long to hear back from tech support or my account rep.

What do you dislike about the product?

I wish I could upload my own productions manually. Initially I was worried about waiting for Everlaw to assist with these, but I've never actually had a problem with their assistance. They are very quick and knowledgeable.

If you're looking for a quick tool that does the heavy lifting of EDiscovery, look no further.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

We're collaborating with our outside counsel much faster than we did in the past as they no longer have to jump over internal IT procedures. We're still secure as Everlaw has a 2FA option.

What do you like best about the product?

Very intuitive and user friendly. Questions quickly answered. Customizable interface.

What do you dislike about the product?

Capacity restrictions. Search mapping and predictive coding could be better.

Efficient and price sensitive document review needs for fast paced litigations.

What do you like best about the product?

I think the user interface is one of the better ones I have used in the document management software universe. Would highly recommend. Also like that each case is billed independently for accounting purposes.

Sometimes all the features can be overwhelming. I keep our usage fairly simple. So it takes some getting used to what you really want/need for your own personality.

What do you like best about the product?

I've used a host of other review platforms but Everlaw is at the top of my list when it comes to favorites. The included tools (unitization, predictive coding, etc.) make it a go-to for extremely time-sensitive and special projects.

What do you dislike about the product?

Everlaw's pricing model is all inclusive which is both good and bad. You get all the tools without having to get them added to your account, BUT, you are also paying for those tools whether you need them or not.

We use Everlaw when we have a small team working on large data sets.

The interface is very easy to use and very easy for parties to navigate.

It can be difficult to upload documents from SharePoint and I have asked clients not to provide their data to us this way.

The help team has been amazing and have actively attempted to solve any issue or question I have asked. I appreciate the follow up I receive from them afterwards and the ongoing assistance they provide me.

What do you like best about the product?

Everlaw is easy to use, and makes interrogation and production of large volumes of documents in formal dispute proceedings as painless as possible.

What do you dislike about the product?

Some of the coding for sequential file naming could have been easier.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have used Everlaw to streamline document review, case analysis and evidence tasks in formal dispute proceedings. Everlaw has made the process much easier and quicker than with manual review or using other platforms I have experienced.

What do you like best about the product?

I love the versatility of the product and especially the organizational aspects. I recently used Storybuilder for a deposition, and the class I just took gave me even more insight as to what Storybuilder can do. I'm anxious to use it on a current case!

What do you dislike about the product?

There's no manual. I created my own, from the knowledge base articles, to assist in getting attorneys and other support staff up to speed. That said, I like the updates to the information, as the system is ever evolving.

If you want a product that will make your e-discovery or database management of files more efficient, chose Everlaw. If you want a customer service that is above and beyond anything you've ever experienced elsewhere --- extremely responsive -- choose Everlaw.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are organizing files, reviewing and producing documents to opposing counsel. I like the addition of the Freeform Codes. That helps quite a bit with the organization.

We've used Everlaw to manage, review, and produce large-scale document reviews and productions for the past 4.5 years. Their model, user-interface, and capabilities are ideal for a small/mid-sized firm like ours. I recommend Everlaw to my friends and colleagues whenever possible.

What do you like best about the product?

It's very easy to get new users up and running with confidence. The visual orientation and layout makes it very intuitive. Everlaw support is super responsive to any questions or needs that our team members may have - without additional fees! Plus Everlaw continually rolls out new features and continues to make my job easier. The subscription model pricing is great and includes everything we need, so budgeting is a breeze.

What do you dislike about the product?

As an Organizational Administrator, I would like the ability to view the activity of individual users across all projects without having to go into each project to review historical activity, and I'd like to have the ability to filter that by date.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our office's usage of Everlaw has grown, and we are able to sort through larger amounts of data in a shorter time frame. It has been especially time saving when reviewing email files for responses to Public Record Act requests. For litigation, we are looking to increase our use of Story Builder and the related tools for depositions, preparing for dispositive motions, and preparing for trial.

What do you like best about the product?

The ease of putting together searches is really helpful. So often I find myself following rabbit holes of documents based on the ease of putting together new searches.

What do you dislike about the product?

There are so many ways to organize documents, it gets confusing. It's probably a good problem to have because Everlaw does make it easy to stay organized.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I routinely use Everlaw to conduct investigations and analyze document productions. The platform simply makes searching across a large volume of documents so much easier than anything else I've come across. The ability to create tags has completely changed how I conduct investigations because it's enabled me to drastically increased my level of organization.

What do you like best about the product?

Our firm has the ability to use Everlaw for any scale of project. We like the workflow we've built in Evelraw. It is easy to train our staff and attorneys to use. Moving from a legacy program to the cloud in 2018 was a seamless transition for our firm.

What do you dislike about the product?

We would like Everlaw to develop their transcript tool even more.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Evelraw has allowed us to quickly get review teams trained to review and code large amounts of data very quickly. Production difficulties of the past no longer exist. In addition, Everlaw has allowed us to work from home collaboratively during the pandemic in Spring 2019.

What do you like best about the product?

The interface is easy to follow, the settings and functions make sense and it is very user friendly. This platform allows for less reliance on your third party disclosure provider which saves your client money. I also like the binders you can create. They were so helpful when keeping track of documents. The settings available are more extensive than I have ever seen before. The review tracker was so helpful when organising reviews as you could track exactly where everyone was at, what was slow and how much further you had to go.

What do you dislike about the product?

I think there is almost too much you can do from this end. What I mean by that is that it is too easy to change the set up, settings, disclosure tags etc. This leaves room for error which other platforms do not. I know that you can change who has access to what, but I still think some of the settings need to be controlled or locked.

Ensure that you have proper training for the whole team. Understand the settings available to you.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our reviews were quick, we were able to instruct third party reviewers with ease and were able to track the progress exactly.

What do you like best about the product?

Personally, what I like best about using Everlaw is how intuitive and user-friendly the platform is. With other document review platforms I've used in the past, in particular Relativity, I often found myself saying: "there must be an easier way to do this." With Everlaw, I've never said to myself and I've always easily been able to perform the actions I wanted to, with only minimal initial training. Everlaw feels like a modern app, built for simplicity and user satisfaction - having tried it, I no longer want to use any other document review platform!

What do you dislike about the product?

The one issue I've encountered using Everlaw is the document preview feature, which sometimes struggles with more complex documents (e.g. large Powerpoint files or complex Excel ones). As a result, the preview can sometimes be misleading, as it might appear that the document doesn't contain some of the elements which exist in its native format. Asides from that, no complaints to report and I've liked everything else about my experience using Everlaw.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

For those working in the legal industry and are often engaged in large document review exercises - notably in litigation - I would highly recommend trying Everlaw, given the simplicity of the platform and how efficient it makes everything. I think it's important to understand that while Everlaw simplifies the document review process significantly, some users of more traditional platforms (e.g. Relativity) may feel slightly limited in what might be perceived as less options available. In fact, by digging a bit further, I found that virtually any function we needed to perform on an exercise - be that watermarking, redactions, highlighting and notes - can all easily be integrated into the process.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Working in a law firm, we often have large amounts of relatively lengthy and complex documents to analyse. And we need to get through them efficiently. I've found that using Everlaw - as opposed to other document review platforms traditionally employed in the sector, namely Relativity - our team is saving a lot of time and these otherwise relatively annoying exercises become a lot easier and smoother.
