It’s a simple platform, but it doesn’t really offer much room to be original.

It helps people who have a hard time expressing a compliment, and it acknowledges someone who has done good work across the district.

Nectar is helping some employees be seen for the actions and contributions they have made across the company, it is benefitting me by being able to recognize those employees

I like Nectar because we get rewarded for doing good work, and it helps me feel appreciated.

The benefits obviously are the points to cash, also it does make one have an effort for the challenges.

Nectar has truly been beneficial. When receiving points I feel it helps show people you have been recognized for work performed. For some employees, seeing that they earned points makes them work harder and even happy to work. Also it is really awesome for employees to be recognized for training and helps push to learn more when there's a small treat at the end :)

The only downside of Nectar is that we as employees only can give up to 50 points

Honestly it solves some problems for certain employees that need recognition and saves a manager time from finding a person and saying thank you
The ability to recognize across departments and do it in a way that's so visible is really the game changer with Nectar for me. Most of my people are remote — so it's really a way for them to connect with the people that they work with and do it in a way that's not quite so formal.
I always explain Nectar as our corporation's social media. That's just the best way I can explain it. Never seen anything like it. You scroll the board, you can see the shout-outs — and I would describe it as a way to recognize teammates and departments for positive things that you wouldn't always notice.
Employee recognition was limited to a $25 Amazon gift card that I'd order in bulk once a quarter to give out to managers to recognize employees on their birthday. We didn't have a recognition platform for years of service. And honestly, that was kind of the end of employee recognition.
In 2019, recognition was more on a leadership end — it kind of went from leadership down. There was less peer-to-peer recognition. It wasn't very visible. We weren't able to highlight it amongst the team, or it could have been recognized in yearly evaluations — but it wasn't something that was peer-to-peer driven or visible amongst the staff.
I love what I do. I love my patients. I love supporting the team and I just love bringing everybody together to make the journey of our patients easy.

I like that you can recognize people and recognise their hard work.

I dont like that the points expire shortly after you add them to a card.

When you want to thank someone for thir hard work its an easy way to say thank you.

Nectar feels like the workplace equivalent of a kid bringing home a piece of artwork they made at school, and their mom proudly hanging it on the fridge. It gives companies a simple way to reward employees by shouting them out in front of their colleagues, and it gives the employee a real sense of pride in the work they’ve done.

There’s really no downside that I’ve seen thus far. My only complaint is that I didn’t hear about it sooner!

When I would think of how to celebrate my colleagues birthdays, anniversaries, promotions, and other accomplishments, I would struggle to think of what gift they would like. This takes the guesswork out of it and ensure they receive something they enjoy.

I like that I have the ability to give my agents incentives throughout the month and that it gets replenishes every month.

I feel like it takes a lot of points to get anything good and that makes it less worth trying in my opinion.

It's helped us find wys to reward our agents outside of just giving them raises and bonuses. It's a monthly reoccurring incentive.

I think that the best features of Nectar are in the UI. The dashboard is so easy to use and navigate. Posting updates is as simple as checking the boxes below when you're recognizing a coworker, which makes the integration with Slack so smooth. You don't feel like posting in Slack, okay... go to the Nectar website and use that dashboard instead as both work without issue. I see our teams using the platform daily which helps with the company vibes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there's nothing I can think of using the product that I would be able to provide negative feedback about currently.

Team recognition transparency... which increases awareness around what everyone is working on and what specifically they are doing to earn those points and recognition.

I see it as a form of gratitude. It's great.

We've been absolutely loving getting into Nectar, and your support team has been incredible. I have random questions that pop up, and they're so fast to answer.
I love it. It makes sending out to everybody so much easier, and before, with our contact list, sometimes emails would go to spam, and I felt like they just weren't getting to everybody. Being able to do it through Nectar seems to be a much easier way to get the message out, and it looks so much nicer than what I could do in email. So, yeah, very happy with it.

I like that it encourages positive feedback amongst coworkers. Because you're given a monthly allowance, you WANT to use them all and give them away to the people you appreciate. It is very easy to use. I like that it is like a twitter feed and you can see what other people are getting praised for.

Nectar gives a way to give a little more recognition and appreciation between coworkers. It's very easy to use, easy to set up, has a fairly clean user interface, and isn't overwhelming.

You could say that it's a little simplistic, but in a way that's also one of the things I like about using it.

It gives a way to build to a tangible appreciation with the reward systems.
One of the reasons we went with Nectar is because a lot of other appreciation and recognition platforms—like the one I've used at other companies —aren't set up for daily recognition. They're more for occasional spot awards. Nectar, on the other hand, is designed for more frequent recognition. It doesn't require a huge milestone or project to send a shout out or attach points.

It gives me a way to show appreciation for and celebrate staff members, and helps me as a manager new to the firm build relationships with people.

Nothing. It forces me to be intentional about recognizing people, which is good and important.
