What do you like best about the product?

I send a lot of confidential information out, with Virtru I can securely send and receive private information. I receive a lot of good feedback from my clients how they feel better and more comfortable using Virtru.

What do you dislike about the product?

The only "negative" feedback I receive from my clients is the extra step they must take in order to view an attachment sent through Virtru but I remind they it is all for security purpose. Once I explain that, they tend to overlook that extra step because they would prefer the security.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It provides more peace when I ask my clients to send me their identification for verification purposes. It it benefiting me because it is saving me time from having to meet individuals face to face to receive documents when I can now get them virtually.

What do you like best about the product?

The platform allows me to share files and messages with confidence, knowing they’re protected by strong encryption and that access can be tightly controlled. I especially appreciate that recipients don’t need to have a Virtru account to access shared content—this removes a major barrier and makes secure communication easy for both internal and external stakeholders.

What do you dislike about the product?

While the platform is overall very user-friendly, there are occasional delays when accessing or uploading larger files. Also, depending on the recipient's email provider or browser settings, some users may experience minor confusion the first time they try to open a secure message—though this is typically resolved quickly.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Since adopting Virtru Secure Share, we've significantly reduced the risks associated with sharing sensitive information over email. It's helped build trust with clients and colleagues, knowing that we prioritize security and compliance. The ability to audit who accesses shared files and revoke access at any time adds an extra layer of control and peace of mind.

What do you like best about the product?

I like how simple the interface is to send and accept files. Super quick and easy to follow the prompts and send the document. Customers note no issues and most appreciate receiving files securely and it's been easy to access.

What do you dislike about the product?

I wish I could drop down to send from a different email that's been added to my gmail, rather than needing to login with that account. Wish it could be built into Salesforce directly, rather than having to go to a different app to send securely. Love how it's integrated into gmail, something similar for Salesforce would be great.

Not sending PII unsecurely through salesforce

What do you like best about the product?

On the admin side, it is cloud hosted and easily to implement and manage. On the user side its as simple as adding a Chrome extension and then sliding a toggle on an individual email. This allows users to send things in email that would otherwise require more cumbersome methods, so they love it. They also have great customer support when we have questions. The integration with Google Workplace is easy and doesn't require maintenance.

What do you dislike about the product?

It often has false positives detecting DLP and suggesting I encrypt those messages. I just say no and move on.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It allowed us to replace on on-prem solution that was becoming cumbersome to manage in order to provide email encryption and encrypted attachment transfer for our users.

What do you like best about the product?

We added Virtru to our organizations' Google Workspace and it was completely painless. I was up and running in minutes!

What do you dislike about the product?

I haven't seen any downsides so far - it's incredibly easy to use and makes sure your data is protected

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were getting lots of spam emails that had information that had apparently been leaked from our emails. Virtru is helping us make sure sensitive data is being sent securely and makes sure we're not receiving targeted scams or fraud attempts. We also wanted to be able to send PHI over email and we can now do that.

What do you like best about the product?

For the particular use case, the Virtru Secure Share is convenient for those users who are accustomed to a separate interface to load and secure content. With the Virtru secure share, users are able to load larger files up to 15 GB of data. What is very nifty is the ability to do company branding and logos, and audit and add security controls. The ability to add controls is adorable. Ease of use for adding content.

What do you dislike about the product?

The Virtru Secure Share is fairly simple to use, and the interface is self-explanatory. It is rare that users have to send a file larger than 15 GB. With that said, maybe an expansion is the size of the files sent. I have not seen a receipt of record forwarded to the user's email to indicate when a file has been opened. However, that audit is available in the admin console. While there may be areas for improvement, in its existing state, it is very, very user-friendly and easy to use.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

The nature of our business is Threat Intelligence collection and dissimiantion for private sources and deep and dark web. That said, we have uses cases where this data needs to be sent to users with more security such as audit controls, expiration data of receipt, and in a majority of cases sending files larger than 5GB but rarely exceeding 15 GB. That was a huge win for the teams.

I can easily add attachments. Upload is quick, and I can count on confidentiality.

It's enabling me to send confidential information quickly and reliably. My recipients have had no trouble opening messages, even if they have never used Virtu in the past.

Program could use a couple updates, make the website more colorful.

What do you like best about the product?

I have found that it is much easier to use than other secure file sharing options that I have tried in the past. I like that I can copy a link and email it to my clients, and I have heard from the client side that it is easy to use. I really like that I get a notification email when a client shares documents with me through Secure Share. I have also included my Secure Share link in my email signature, which saves time when a client wants to send me secure information. I also appreciate the history of shared items in Virtru Secure Share, where I can see what has been shared in the past. There was essentially no implementation time with Virtru Secure Share either. It was very easy to integrate it into my existing technology.

What do you dislike about the product?

I have not had any difficulties with Virtru Secure Share as I find it very easy to implement and use, and have had no problems with it.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

In my business I am often sharing and receiving files containing sensitive information. Virtru Secure Share has made that process much easier. I have tried other solutions in the past, but some of my clients have had difficulty using them. My clients have all been able to use Virtru Secure Share to share files with me.

What do you like best about the product?

Very helpful to be able to send secure information via email. Having an email plugin with Gmail makes it simple to use.

What do you dislike about the product?

Sending through the actual website can be difficult at times.

Helps me to send data about users to my merchants. Keeps the data secure.

I use this SW to securely send files to both internal and external company contacts. The SW works well and and like it should -- it is not any more complicated to use than just sending an email, but the email and attachments are secure.

It's so great that you can add it to Zendesk, when sending PII information. It's very user friendly, and once activated, there are no problems with it. I have to send tons of emails a day with PII info, so having a secure platform like Virtru makes that very easy. If there are any problems, Customer Support is very easy to get a hold of. I highly recommend giving them a try.

Possibly having to reactivate from time to time.

We have a ton of PII and it's helping to secure that information.

The interface is intuitive, and I appreciate that recipients don’t need to create an account to access the files securely. It streamlines secure communication without sacrificing compliance or control.

While overall I’m very satisfied, one minor drawback is the limited customization options for message notifications or branding. It would be helpful to tailor the experience a bit more to reflect our organization's look and feel. Additionally, there can occasionally be a slight delay when uploading larger files, though it's not a major issue.

Virtru Secure Share solves the problem of securely transmitting sensitive information without risking data breaches or compliance violations. In my role, I handle documents that include personal and protected information, and Virtru ensures that this data is encrypted and only accessible to the intended recipient. This not only protects our customers but also gives me peace of mind and helps our organization stay aligned with privacy regulations like HIPAA or GDPR.

This is a very easy program to use and you can send it to anyone. All you have to do is send a link and whoever receives it can upload up to 20 files securely.

I really don't dislike much about this product!

It helps our customers upload up to 20 files in one email and it's so easy to use and file

It is easy to use and download to your system. The customer support is great. We use this on a daily basis throughout our company.

It uninstalls every now and then. But it is easy to re-download.

Within the context of non-profit organization and working with many individuals reluctant to embrace new technology, Virtru's embedded email encryption solution has proven to be the simplest and most effective solution we could roll out. After more than a year of use I can confirm it was a smart decision and well worth the cost over alternative solutions offered.

What do you dislike about the product?

My team wishes they could initiate a secure email natively from the mobile gmail app vs using the Virtru app but its certainly manageable and understandable. Also a minor, gripe but Virtru requires reestablishing credentials something at the most inconvenient times. Its an understandable need given the nature of security.

We have to handle communications involving PHI on occasion. This fits the bill perfectly for secure communication with external partners.

I like the ease of use when protecting an email.

The extension will sometimes stop working and you have to delete and reinstall.

Sometimes the user interface can feel a bit clunky, especially when trying to manage permissions or revoke access. Also, recipients who aren't familiar with Virtru occasionally have trouble opening encrypted emails, which can cause delays

Sometimes the Virtru system will not come up in my Google mail. It takes restarting my computer to get it to work again.

We are required, as a medical facility, to be HIPAA compliant. Virtru allows for that.

Very useful and easy add on to gmail. Customer service is also great and responds quickly.

The cost is a tad pricey, but as a business with confidential information, it is worth it.

It was easy to use and integrated nicely into our email software. It felt secure and did not introduce any unwelcome complications to the data transfer process.

There were a few additional boxes that had to be clicked to send the email. The password scan feature was a bit clunky and chains for which passwords were detected always created a popup, even when I had previously clicked through it.
